The invention relates to a method for mounting bearing rings (1,17). For mounting an outer ring (1), a die (7) is pressed into the outer ring (1) so that an inner circumferential surface (4) of the outer ring (1) assumes the shape of the die (7). Subsequently, the outer ring (1) is pressed into the recess (3) of a machine part (2,18) by means of the die (7), whereupon the contour of the outer circumferential surface (5) of the outer ring (1) is moulded by axial flow forming plastically into the machine part (2). Finally, the die (7) is removed again from the outer ring (1). For mounting an inner ring (17) a die (21) with a bore (22) is pressed on to the inner ring (17) so that the inner circumferential surface (19, Fig 5a) of the inner ring (17) adjacent the die (21) assumes the shape of the bore (22) of the die (21). Subsequently, the inner ring (17) is pressed on to the machine part (18) by means of the die (21), whereupon the contour of the inner circumferential surface (19) of the inner ring (17) is moulded by axial flow forming plastically into the machine part (18). Finally, the die (21) is removed again from the inner ring (17). |
