PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a colored fine powder dispersion containing a colored powder of a small particle diameter, excellent in dispersion stability, having a low dependence on types of paper, excellent not only in color developing, and color tone, but also in water resistance, and light resistance, when printed on any paper freely selected, and suitable for an aqueous ink for writing, an aqueous printing ink, an ink for information recording, etc. SOLUTION: This colored fine powder dispersion contains an oil-soluble dye and a colored minute powder containing a vinyl polymer. The vinyl polymer is a colored minute powder dispersion having a site which is capable of forming a coloring matter oxidatively coupled with an aromatic primary amine developing compound, and preferably it has a condensed multi-ring framework containing at least three nitrogen atoms and substantially colorless.
