PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chlorine-containing resin composition which is excellent in thermal stability, hardly exhibiting thermal discoloration during and after molding. SOLUTION: This composition contains, as a stabilizer for a chlorine- containing resin, an Mg-Al hydrotalcite powder whish has a plate diameter of 0.3-1.0μm and a thickness of 0.02-0.08μm, of which the surface is covered with at least one coating substance selected from among higher fatty acids, organosilane compounds, and rosins, and which has a heat-resistant time of 160 min or longer.
