TUBULAR MEMBRANE ELEMENT AND SUBMERGED FILTER SYSTEM USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a tubular element that can contribute to the improvement of a volume efficiency and a running cost and to provide a submerged filter system using the same. SOLUTION: There are provided a tubular membrane element prepared by inserting an assembly of a plurality of tubular membranes 2 and a filtrate collection pipe 4 provided with several filtrate intakes 4a for obtaining the filtrate into a cylindrical outer case 1 and potting the openings of both ends of the case 1 together with the end of the membrane 2 in a resin 3 and a submerged filter system wherein the tubular element is submerged in the feed liquid in such a position that it comes over an aerator that releases air bubbles by aeration so as to pass the feed liquid and the bubbles into the inside of the tubular membrane and the filtrate is obtained from the pipe 4 by applying a negative pressure to the side of the filtrate tube or by the difference between water head pressures.
