PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate minus ions and far infrared rays at the same time through the heating of tourmaline to both adjust the balance of ions indoors and use the far infrared rays to human bodies for thermotherapy. SOLUTION: An aluminum plate coated with tourmaline and a front cover made from a resin kneaded with tourmaline are used as they are heated by a heater fixed to the aluminum plate. Minus ions and far infrared rays, both generated by the heating of the tourmaline, are used effectively.
