Novel method for overproduction of lichenase in bacteria by isolating the genes directly from natural samples (lichenaturase)

The invention relates to the isolation, amplification and purification of genes coding for lichenase directly from soil samples using degenerated oligonucleotides (lichenaturase). The invention also relates to a method for overproduction and secretion of the products of said genes to the environment using Bacillus subtilis 168 as host organism.
