PURPOSE:To stably and continuously produce a hose having a high transparency for a long time by a method wherein a thermoplastic polyurethane composition prepared by incorporating 0.1-1wt.% flat substance, in terms of thermoplastic polyurethane, having a weight average flake diameter of 3-100mum is melted and subjected to extrusion molding. CONSTITUTION:A thermoplastic polyurethane composition prepared by incorporating 0.1-1wt.% flat substance, in terms of thermoplastic polyurethane, having a weight average flake diameter of 3-100mum is melted and extrusion molded for producing a hose. As the flat substance in use, mica, talc, kaolin, and the like can be given, but mica is preferable. The flat substance less than 3mum in a weight average flake diameter has a great possibility that it may be unsatisfactorily dispersed in the thermoplastic urethane resin, which results in the quality of the hose being deteriorated. With the flat substance more than 100mum in a weight average flake diameter, the surface of the obtained hose may be rough and accordingly has a poor appearance. In addition, if the loading amount of the flat substance is less than 0.1wt.%, a die-tailing generation preventive effect cannot be obtained. If more than 1wt.%, the transparency and a die-tailing generation preventive effect are deteriorated. |
