PURPOSE:To produce effectively various dimension plys with minimum area for installing by winding the narrow tapes preliminarily cut into the length corresponding to the necessary width of a ply around the outer periphery of a drum and sticking said tape continuously thereonto side by side in order. CONSTITUTION:The drawing edge of the cord strip 6 sent through a cutter 5 is fixed onto a cylindrical drum 8. Then, the cutter 5 is operated, and the strip is cut into a ply unit 7 at the length corresponding to a specified width at the ply to be made. The ply unit 7 is wound around the outer periphery of the drum and temporarily stuck thereto, and the drum 8 is step-moved to an axis center 12 at the pitch corresponding to the width of the ply unit 7. Next, when the drawing edge of the cord strip 6 arrives thereat, said process is repeated until the necessary length of the ply to be made, is obtained. |
