PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grooved glass plate for flat screen displays which has accurate electrode leads and mechanical strength sufficiently. SOLUTION: The grooved glass plate (4) for a flat screen display is separated by web (1) from the outside and has a plurality of parallel grooves (2) in microstructure on a glass substance, and also has peripheral portions (4b, 4c) which can induce electrode conductors to slit bottom parts (3). In the above slitted glass plate (4), a boundary from the bottom parts (3) to the peripheral portions (4b, 4c) are formed so as not to have difference in level irrespective of manufacturing allowable limits.
