PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electronic equipment, where if the battery thereof is decided in need of replacement, the energy remaining in the battery is actively consumed to prevent the user from being troubled, when he loads a battery. SOLUTION: The remaining capacity of the battery is checked with a battery check circuit 18, and the energy in the battery 12 is forcedly consumed through a forced consumption loop, comprising the battery 12, a transistor TR1, and a resistor R5. If the remaining capacity of the battery 12 is decided low by the battery check circuit 18 and CPU 11, the CPU 11 exercises control, so that the energy in the battery 12 is consumed through the forced consumption loop.
