PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data broadcast unit that can immediately stop provision of attached data to viewers without the need for broadcasting meaningless data such as trouble slide data. SOLUTION: The data broadcast unit 100 that repetitively broadcasts attached data, which are received in a memory of a receiver and reproduced later, by the Carousel system, is provided with an attached data storage section 103 that stores 1st and 2nd attached data, an emergency AV data acquisition section 102 that acquires an inhibit event denoting that the reproduction of the 1st attached data is to be inhibited by the receiver, a transmission control section 105 and an attached data transmission section 107 that repetitively broadcast the 1st and 2nd attached data and interrupt broadcasting the 1st attached data when detecting the inhibit event, the transmission control section 105 and an event message transmission section 108 that broadcast a switching instruction to inhibit reproduction of the 1st attached data and to allow the receiver to reproduce the 2nd attached data when the broadcast of the 1st attached data to the receiver is interrupted.
