PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform sufficient processing even by firmware by minimizing the number of bits to be rewritten including error detection codes and error correction codes when performing management accompanied by watermark rewriting by using a watermark embedded in contents. SOLUTION: When data rewriting is requested, total data amount including CRC codes to be rewritten is found for each pattern to be rewritten. Then, patterns with the minimum total amount of data including CRC codes to be rewritten are extracted from the patterns of which the data have to be rewritten and the most suitable pattern is selected from among them, and an arrangement of data which can be rewritten is decided. Therefore, a data rewriting amount including CRC codes caused by rewriting the data is minimized. Thus, watermark rewriting can sufficiently be performed by using firmware. |
