The invention relates to a method for operating a safety switching device (2). According to said method, at least one electric device (18, 22) is monitored and the energy supply to an electric device (10a, 10b) is actuated. The functions (AF, C1, C2, Cx) of the safety switching device (2) are executed by at least two micro-processors (4a, 4b), which alternately undertake the functions (AF, C1, C2, Cx). It is therefore possible to configure the two micro-processors (4a, 4b) in an identical manner and with regard to the safety aspects, to achieve a diverse layout in addition to the redundant layout. |
