The novel braking device for inline roller skates comprising a shoe (1) with a tiltable shaft (12) and a mechanical connection between the braking device and said shoe shaft (12) is configured without brake blocks. The braking device has freely rotating braking rollers (21). A braking effect is achieved by means of a mechanical connection of the shaft (12) which enables a braking roller (21) to be pressed against one of the running rollers (15). The braking roller (21) now rotates freely with the running roller and a friction coupling is created between it and said running roller (15). Greater pressure causes a flex motion in the braking roller (21) itself, which produces the actual braking effect through energy consumption. |
