A catheter for performing intramyocardiac therapeutic treatment has a body with two lumens (3,4). The catheters distal end has a needle system (9') with two lumens (10,11) with discharge openings (110,111). The lumens of the needle system are connected to those of the catheter to release separately a tracer fluid for external image diagnostic systems, and therapeutic fluids, e.g. DNA plasmids.
