PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire having excellent wear resistance in a short time. SOLUTION: A method for processing a mold comprises the steps of first obtaining a three-dimensional tread surface shape capable of making a ground contact pressure operating on the tread surface uniform in the case of contacting a block with a ground by using a computer 30, and generating three-dimensional data of the tread surface shape. The method further comprises the steps of inputting three-dimensional numeric value data of the tread surface shape to a three-dimensional CAD/CAM 32, and generating numeric value data of a three-dimensional NC machine tool. The method also comprises the steps of then inputting the numeric value data of the machine tool to the three-dimensional NC machine tool, and three-dimensional processing a mold by the machine tool. Thus, since the three-dimensional tread surface shape obtained by using the computer is converted into the numeric value data and the data is used for the machine tool, a processing accuracy of the mold becomes very high, the tire having the tread surface shape in which the ground contact pressure can be made uniform can be processed by the mold capable of molding the tire in a short time, and the pneumatic tire having excellent wear resistance can be obtained in a short time.
