PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for cultivating mushroom using a material easily available and constant in quality as the main part of a culture substrate, and to provide a mushroom growth-promoting composition. SOLUTION: This method for cultivating mushroom is characterized by comprising cultivating mushroom through using a culture substrate having a corn fiber as the main part. The other objective mushroom growth-promoting composition is such one as to comprise a hot water extract from the corn fiber.
