PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attract wood louses into a container by the smell generated from a chemical-storing cylinder, and catch the wood louses. SOLUTION: This pest catching container has a container body comprising a bottom plate 1 having an outward flange shaped plate 3 attached to the upper end of a cylinder 2 for storing chemicals for attracting the pest by emanating the smell, a taper shaped periphery wall 11 with a diameter enlarged downward and fitted in the outer periphery of the outward flange shaped plate 3, an inward flange shaped top wall 12 attached to the upper end of the taper shaped periphery wall 11, a dropping opening 16 formed in the inward flange shaped top wall 12 and a fitting cylinder 14 formed by standing the inner periphery part of the inward flange shaped top wall 12, a lid 20 obtained by forming the outer periphery part of a lid plate 22 hanging down a fitting cylinder 21 fitted to the fitting cylinder 14 into a tilted surface part 23 with a diameter enlarged downward.
