PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article moving device. SOLUTION: This device for moving articles has an article support member for supporting the moved articles; and a reciprocation means including a reciprocation member extending along the longitudinal direction of the article support member and a reciprocation drive mechanism for reciprocating the reciprocation member along the longitudinal direction of the article support member. The reciprocation member includes two or more reciprocation parts connected to each other. The device has a movement amount change means for increasing or reducing movement amounts of the two or more reciprocation parts gradually along the longitudinal direction of the article support member when the reciprocation member is moved forward by the reciprocation drive mechanism; and a drive force transmission means transmitting drive force of the reciprocation member to the articles supported by the article support member when the reciprocation drive mechanism moves the reciprocation member forward, and not transmitting the drive force of the reciprocation member to the articles supported by the article support member when the reciprocation drive mechanism moves the reciprocation member backward.
