PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interior material comprising a skin material and an intermediate fitting material on the surface, with a presentably appearing surface layer part. SOLUTION: The interior material comprises a base 3 made of resin, the skin material 11 and the intermediate fitting material formed in a laminated fashion, and the intermediate fitting material is a foam 13 with 0.12-0.30 g/cm3 density. The foam 13 is joined to the base 3 while both are heated, so that the foam 13 constitutes the surface layer part of the interior material together with the skin material 11. Since the foam 13 is formed with the described density, it adapts itself to the shrinkage of a material for the base 3 which constitutes the base 3. Consequently, the formation of irregularities and creases on the surface of the surface layer part is inhibited. In addition, the formation of the irregularities and the creases on the skin material 11 is inhibited.
