PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric connector having a more valuable design in view points of both a total length and a manufacturing cost while assuring good contact formation. SOLUTION: The electric connector comprises an insulating body 13 having a plurality of contacts 14 formed on a longitudinal section in mutually lined, spaced and held relation. A contact point 18 at one end is protruded over a bottom portion 26 of the insulating body 13 and adapted to freely connect one of electronic components 11, 12 while a contact point 19 at the other end is provided in a free end area 36 protruded from the insulating body 13 for contacting the other. The contacts 14 are set in strip array in the axial direction and formed in slender trapezoidal shape in a plane view in the free end area with a short base side 37 containing the neighboring contact point at the other end and a long base side 38 combined with a color region 39 neighboring the contact point 18 at one end.
