PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a float valve capable of heightening the effective utilization of storing capacity of a water tank by enlarging the effective water level variation width of the water tank. SOLUTION: A valve main body 6 is installed to be communicated with a water supply pipe 1 in the water tank 3 to which the water supply pipe 1 and a drain pipe 2 are connected, and the valve main body 6 and a float 7 floating on the water surface in the water tank 3 to elevate with water level change of the water tank 3 are connected to each other by a connecting mechanism 8, whereby the valve main body 6 is opened and closed, interlocking with elevation of the float 7. An upper limit stopper 10 and a lower limit stopper 11 are mounted at a vertical space H on a float shaft 85 of the connecting mechanism 8, and the float 7 is mounted between the upper limit stopper 10 and the lower limit stopper 11 to freely elevate.
