PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin type air conditioner for an automobile capable of reducing an occupied space in an automobile, facilitating connection of a cooling water supply pipe to a heater core, and improving cooling/heating performance. SOLUTION: The heater core is divided by a pair of side walls arranged on the left and right sides of an inside flow passage of an air conditioning case, a first partition wall, and a second partition wall and arranged in a heater chamber opened in the lower part and communicated with a second vent port arranged in the first partition wall. On the outside of a pair of the side walls, a pair of side vent passages communicating with the heater chamber and a mixing chamber are arranged. Temperature regulating door both side supporting arms are supported on both side wall faces of the air conditioner matching the both side faces of an evaporator.
