摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for detecting extracellular hemoglobin or hemoglobin given from the outside, namely, a cell-free hemoglobin- substitute or a hemoglobin derivative in a blood, plasma or serum sample, especially a whole blood sample in an individual. SOLUTION: This method comprises (a) a step for determining the total hemoglobin concentration in an aliquot of a sample by a hemoglobin analytical channel in an analytical device, (b) a step for determining the cell hemoglobin concentration in the sample aliquot by an erythrocyte analytical channel in the analytical device, and (c) a step for calculating the difference between the total hemoglobin concentration determined from the hemoglobin channel in the analytical device and the cell hemoglobin concentration determined from the erythrocyte channel, to thereby obtain the extracellular hemoglobin concentration in the whole blood, plasma or serum sample.
