PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil tank device for an engine which can arrange an oil tank separated from an engine main unit without causing enlargement in size of the engine and suppress transmission of heat as small as possible to the oil tank from the engine main unit. SOLUTION: In this oil tank device, mounting an oil tank 40 in one side of an engine main unit 1 with this oil tank 40 receiving an oil slinger 56 generating oil mist for lubrication by scattering accumulated oil O, a timing transmission case 36 is interposed between the engine main unit 1 and the oil tank 40, transmission of heat from the engine main unit 1 to the oil tank 40 is interrupted by this case 36.
