METHOD FOR PRODUCING FORMED BODY LOW IN THERMAL EXPANSION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a formed body low in thermal expansion which enables production of the formed body holding no pores inside and having a high constitutive density. SOLUTION: This production method comprises forming and sintering the mixture of powdery copper and cuprous oxide powder to make an integrated sintered material, and then hot pressing the integrated sintered material to obtain a formed body having a prescribed shape.
