PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ethylene/α-olefin copolymer which has an excellent polymerizability and a high molecular weight even at a high polymerization temperature of 120 deg.C or more. SOLUTION: The copolymerization of ethylene andα-olefin of 3-20C is carried out at the polymerization temperature of 120 deg.C or more, using an olefin polymerization catalyst which comprises (a) a metallocene compound, (b) a compound which cationizes the metallocene compound and forms a counteranion, (c) an organic aluminum compound and (d) a cray mineral.
