PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera in which the increase of cost is suppressed to the minimum even when plural data storage means are provided, and moreover, minimal operation are possible without a malfunction even when important data on the viewpoint of control are destroyed in case of emergency. SOLUTION: This camera has a main body-side EEPROM(electrically erasable and programmable ROM) 44 and a lens unit-side EEPROM 57. The EEPROM 44 is mounted on a main substrate 37 and data needed for the control of the whole of the camera are stored in the EEPROM 44. On the other hand, the EEPROM 57 is provided on the flexible board for connection 58 to which a mirror frame flexible board 53 is connected and data needed for the control of units provided on the flexible board 53 and the flexible board 58 are stored in the EEPROM 57 and also data which are not related to the control of the units, are stored in the EEPROM 57.
