A loading apparatus for loading a ceramic press (1) comprises trolley means (9) movable between a loading position and an unloading position and suitable for transferring ceramic powders to cavities (4) of a mould of said press (1), preparing means (10; 13; 152) suitable for receiving said ceramic powders before said ceramic powders are introduced into said cavities (4), feeding means (17, 130; 141) suitable for depositing said ceramic powders into said preparing means (10; 13; 152), said feeding means (17; 130; 141) being associated to moving means (20) controlled on two orthogonal axes and such to allow said ceramic powders to be deposited into said preparing means (10; 13; 152) so as to form a soft cushion (80) provided with three-dimensionally extending regions of different types of powders. A method for loading a ceramic press (1) comprises depositing ceramic powders into preparing means (10; 13; 141), introducing said ceramic powders into cavities (4) of a mould of said press (1) through trolley means (9) movable between a rear loading position and a forward unloading position, said depositing comprising controlling on two orthogonal axes the movement of feeding means (17; 130; 141) for arranging said ceramic powders into said preparing means (10; 13; 152) so as to form a soft cushion (80) provided with three-dimensionally extending regions of different types of powder. |
