PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide furniture with shelves for the corners of a room which use the corners of a room to store articles with long depths, books, and small articles in a mixed manner. SOLUTION: Furniture with shelves for the corners of a room is provided with a unit 1 of furniture, which is placed in the corner of a room, and a unit 2 with shelves, which is placed against a corner wall W1 and sits next to the unit 1 of furniture. The unit 1 of furniture is made up of a side frame 3 for the unit 2 with shelves, a front frame 30 and a back frame 31, which are placed against the other corner wall W2, which faces the side frame 3, and a counter plate 34, which is attached to the frames 3, 30, 31. Since the unit 1 of furniture is formed by using the side frame 3, the cost for the furniture is reduced by the cost of the frame. Books and small articles are stored in the unit 2 with shelves, and articles with long depth can be put on the counter plate 34. The counter plate 34 can be used as a desk.
