PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic inoculation device of a stock log for shiitake mushroom, having a simple structure of the machine, space saving and inexpensive. SOLUTION: This automatic inoculating device is provided by installing a drilling machine 10 for making a hole on the stock log 1 for inoculating the stock log 1 for shiitake mushroom, an inoculating machine 12 for inoculating shiitake fungi in the stock log 1 and a sealing machine with wax 14 in a row in the longitudinal direction of the stock log 1, being equipped with a moving frame 16 holding the drilling machine 19 and the inoculating machine 12, and a main frame 20 holding the moving frame 16 as transferable in the longitudinal direction of the stock log 1, having a stock log-holding member 46 installed at the lower part of the main frame 20 and loaded with the stock log 1 and clumping devices 40, 41 installed at the upper direction of the stock log-holding member 46 and holding the stock log 1 as freely rotatable by centering around its longitudinal axis, and installing a lifting up and down device 48 for elevating the stock log-holding device 46 and a centering device 44 for stopping the elevation of the stock log 1 in a state that the approximately center of the stock log 1 reaches to the clumping position of the clumping devices 40, 41 by the elevation of the stock log 1 loaded on the stock log-holding device 46.
