PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an embroidering sewing machine for retracting an embroidering frame to a specified position after resting for a long time. SOLUTION: When the operation of the sewing machine rests for a specified time while a middle carriage 6 and a tip carriage 7 are extended, this condition is detected, thus shrinking the middle carriage 6 and the tip carriage 7 for returning to retraction positions. They are returned to their original positions when embroidery is resumed.
