PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rechargeable vacuum cleaner preventing upsizing of a vacuum cleaner body and enabling a reduction in vibration and noise of a motor fan. SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner is provided with a dust collecting chamber 3, the vacuum cleaner body 1 having the motor fan 4 and a storage battery 12, and a charging base 19 for charging the storage battery 12 in such a state that the body 1 is placed on the charging base 19. The storage battery 12 is disposed in such a state as to surround the motor fan 4.
