PURPOSE: A vacuum fluorescent display is provided to minimize a defective product due to the slow emission by increasing a minimum contact area of a dot layer and a fluorescent layer among fluorescent layers. CONSTITUTION: A vacuum fluorescent display includes a pair of substrates(2,4) forming a vacuum container by a side glass(6) surrounding the substrates(2,4), a wiring(8) formed at the substrate, an insulating layer(10) for preventing a short among the wiring, a conductive material, an anode electrode including a fluorescent layer(12) emitted by a voltage applied from the wiring(8), a filament(14) emitting a thermal electron, and a mesh grid(16) cutting-off or diffusing the thermal electron emitted from the filament(14).
