PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce size and save refrigerant by improving the gas/liquid separating performance of a gas and liquid separator in an air conditioner. SOLUTION: The lower part in a gas/liquid-separating chamber 4a is partitioned into a first space unit and a second space unit through a partitioning plate to position a first refrigerant pipe 20, which is connected to a first reducing device 3 in the first space unit and open the same so as to be opposed to a bottom wall, while a second refrigerant pipe 21 connected to a second reducing device 5 is positioned in the second space unit to open the same to face the bottom wall. A third refrigerant pipe 22, connected to an injection pipeline, is opened at the upper part of the gas/liquid separating chamber 4a and the bottom wall unit is formed to have the shape of a flat plate separately from the sidewall unit and is fixed to the sidewall unit substantially orthogonally to the sidewall unit.
