PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a component-mounting device, capable of accurately mounting a component on a prescribed position on a substrate. SOLUTION: A collet 71a sucks and carries the component 3 from a component supply part 4 to a posture correction part 6 and places the component 3 on a relay table 6c. The component 3 is clamped between a positioning part 6a and the positioning part 6b, and the attitude is corrected, so as to make the component end faces 3a and 3b be parallel with respect to a parallel light beam B. A dimension measurement part 9 measures a component length to compute the position deviation amount between a component center position and a component suction position. The collet 72a sucks and carries the component 3, whose attitude is corrected in a prescribed direction from the attitude correction part 6 to a component-mounting part 5. An operation control part corrects the positional deviation amount so as to make the collet 72a mount the component 3 on the prescribed position on the substrate 2. As a result, the component is positioned and mounted accurately, regardless of the positional deviation between the component center position and the component suction position or the dispersion of a component dimension.
