PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monolayer electrophotographic photoreceptor having very good wear resistance and sensitivity, excellent in resistances to gases such as ozone and NOx and having a long service life. SOLUTION: The monolayer type electrophotographic photoreceptor has a photosensitive layer comprising a resin binder containing at least an electric charge generating agent and an electric charge transferring agent on an electrically conductive substrate and the photosensitive layer contains a polyalkylene glycol compound of the formula A1-O-[(CH2)m-0]n-A2 (where A1 and A2 are the same or different and are each a 1-50C alkyl or aryl or -CO-R10; R10 is a 1-50C alkyl or aryl; (m) is an integer of 1-5; and (n) is an integer of 2-100).
