PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to display a recording/reproducing voice level without enlarging a voice recording and reproducing device. SOLUTION: A SW operation means 2 detects an operation state of a display change-over button in a switch (SW) operation part 1, and when pushing-down operation of the display change-over button is not detected, an operation mode judging means 3 judges that time display had been instructed, then a display driving means 10 drives a display means 9 for displaying a numeric value by a combination of plural segments, to display a recording time and a reproducing time. Moreover, when pushing-down operation of the above display change-over button is detected, the operation mode judging means 3 judges that voice level display has been instructed, then the display driving means 10 drives the above display means 9 to display the level of voice to be recorded or reproduced.
