PURPOSE: An ATM over E1 matching printer board assembly is provided to simplify transmission control and increase a use efficiency of an E1 link by applying an ATM method to a transmission terminal and fixing a size of a transmission cell to 53 bytes. CONSTITUTION: A cell bus matching unit(10) is connected to an other communication terminal and performs a routing by an ATM cell unit. The first and second multi-interfaces(12,14) are connected to the cell bus matching unit(10) and interface cell data. An AAL2/AAL2' converting unit(16) is connected to the first and second multi-interfaces(12,14) converts and reversely converts data with an AAL2' type into data with an AAL2 type. The first and second E1 line matching units(18,20) are connected to a BSC(Binary Symmetric Channel), performs an 8E1 link matching, and performs a PCM data and line matching. The first and second UTOPIA(Universal Test Operations Physical Interface for ATM) matching units(22,24) perform a UTOPIA matching of data between the first and second E1 line matching units(18,20). A processor matching unit(26) determines a chip initialization for cell bus matching and the conversion of the AAL2/AAL2' converting unit(16), and matches an ATM SAR and a UTOPIA bus so that a communication is performed in a reverse link direction for performing a communication to a BTS(Base Transceiver Station) and the communication is performed in a forward link direction for communicating with a BSC(Base Station Controller).
