<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a server for component management and a constitution tree which can discriminate individual products and easily manage information specific to each of individual products. SOLUTION: This component managing method has a stage (S12) where a constitution tree generated by using respective component numbers determined by components of the same design as to a product composed of plural components is stored in a tree file on a computer, a stage (S14) where specific serial numbers are assigned to at least main components among the mentioned components, linked with the component numbers, and stored in a file on the computer, and a stage (S8) where the serial numbers are impressed on the corresponding components. The constitution of the product becomes clear and the serial numbers and component numbers are made to correspond to each other, and a serial number is found from a concrete component and information on the component is known.</p> |
