PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a yarn guide capable of well winding a weft yarn around a yarn winding surface. SOLUTION: This weft yarn storing apparatus in a jet loom comprises a yarn guide 24 arranged between a weft yarn length measuring device 23 and a storage drum 11 and the yarn guide 24 comprises a folded and bent formed core rod 25, a slide contact piece 26 secured to the core rod 25 and tubes 27 and 246 for covering steps 241 and 242 between the core rod 25 and the slide contact piece 26. Both ends of the core rod 25 are tightened and fixed to fixed parts 30 by tightening screws 29. The core rod 25 crosses a space between peripheral surfaces of rollers 16 and 17 and the yarn winding surface 111. The slide contact piece 26 is arranged so as to obliquely intersect a common tangential plane K between the circumferential surface of the delivery roller 16 and the yarn winding surface 111 when viewed from the central axial direction C of the annular yarn winding surface 111.
