Wax-based opacifier formulations contain an emulsifier mixture of (a) alkyl- and alkenyl-oligoglycoside(s) (I), (b) fatty acid partial glyceride(s) (II) and optionally (c) amphoteric surfactant(s) (III), in a weight ratio of (a) and optionally (c) to (b) of (6-3):1, and are free from anionic surfactant.
