<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for managing vehicle position for smoothly managing and retrieving vehicle position and to narrow down the number of candidates of vehicles to a small number in the case of searching the relevant vehicle. SOLUTION: The vehicle position managing method for detecting the storage position of vehicle and presenting it to user on the basis of designated information at a place for storing the vehicle, is provided with a vehicle image photographing process for photographing the image of the vehicle at the time of entering a vehicle color measurement process for measuring the color of the vehicle at the time of entering, an entering vehicle data registering process for registering entering vehicle data composed of information on the vehicle image of the entering vehicle, a vehicle color, the time of entering and the storage position, a vehicle retrieval key designating process for designation information on the entering time zone and the vehicle color as a retrieval key, a suited degree calculating process for calculating a suited degree expressing how much all the registered entering vehicle data are suited to the retrieval key, a vehicle information presenting process for presenting the vehicle images on a screen successively from the vehicle of the highest calculated suited degree and a vehicle selecting process for selecting the relevant vehicle out of the presented vehicle images.</p> |
