PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk device itself with a disk access scheduling function based on an access pattern. SOLUTION: The disk device is provided with a pattern discrimination part 46, a scheduling mechanism 50, a disk time sharing mechanism 82, and a reordering mechanism 88. The pattern discrimination part 46 discriminates whether a command received from a host is a sequential command or a random command, separately stores an access pattern and a read/write command in the queues 70, 72, 74, 76 of the scheduling mechanism 50 and schedules command charges to a sequential queue 84 and a random queue 86 in the mechanism 82 while considering the access patterns of disk accesses to commands stored in the queues.
