The semi-rigid roller skate has a chassis (2) with rollers (3) and a boot holder (3) having a sole (4) mounted on an upper (8). The sole has a central zone (5) at the metatarso-phalangeal flexure area of the foot. The central zone separates a fixed front section (6) attached to the chassis, a rigid rear zone (7) also connected to the chassis. The central zone has a thin panel which places the boot holder against the chassis.
