The present invention relates to a method for preparing a biological sample for detection of a diseased or infected state, such as, for example, HIV, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, or a combinatioln thereof. The method provides a supernatant fluid having a detectable amountof free compounds wherein the presence of the free compounds may be used to determine the presence of the diseased or infected state. |
