PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer and its driving method which can be applied, especially, to a thermal head ink jet printer such that the volume of an ink drop can be varied easily. SOLUTION: Volume of an ink drop can be varied by applying a heater with a second pulse P1 for varying the meniscus, at a specified timing, before applying the heater with a first pulse P2 for ejecting an ink drop from a nozzle. |
