PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dispersion which can be used for manufacturing inkjet papers and has a high solid content at a low viscosity, and its manufacturing and using methods. SOLUTION: The dispersion comprises a liquid phase, and advantageously water and a solid phase, the solid phase being composed of a pyrogenic oxide which has been doped with an aerosol and has a BET-surface area of 5-600 m2/g. The base component of this pyrogenic oxide is silicic acid produced by flame hydrolysis or flame oxidation and has been doped with at least one doping component, advantageously with aluminum oxide by aerosol spraying. The amount of doping is 1-200,000 ppm, and the doping component is provided through a salt or a salt mixture of the doping component, and the solid phase in the dispersion has a mass ratio of 0.001-80 mass%.
