PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grid lid to be attached to an opening for various kinds of water channels without using steel, iron or concrete reinforced steel bars in order to avoid deformation or breakage to a part of the grid lid due to impact by a stone or a drift wood or poor durability due to corrosion caused by rusting or chemical changes. SOLUTION: The surroundings of a rigid material constituting a grid is covered with an elastic material so as to make the surroundings to one united member. In addition, as its manufacturing method, the surroundings of the rigid member constituting the grid are wound by unvulcanized rubber and pressured and vulcanized thereby tightly adhering the rubber and constituted to one body and, other manufacturing method, an adhesive is coated to the surface of the rigid member constituting the grid, and the band-shaped elastic member is strongly adhered without creating gap and then tightly adhered to one body.
