PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filing instrument, capable of assembling a pressing member easily and eliminating the risk of injuring a component upon the assembly work while permitting segregated disposal. SOLUTION: A pressing member 13 is provided so as to be separated from or approached to the installing surface unit 20 of a base 11 by turning an operating member 12. The pressing member 13 is constituted of a divided structure of a plate body 60 and a pressing piece 61 to be fitted to a groove 62 provided on the lower surface side of the plate body 60 while the plate body 60 is provided with a bearing groove 64 for receiving one end side of first and second connecting shafts 16 and 17 and an intermediate bearing groove 65 for receiving the one end side 72 of a spring member 14. The pressing piece 61 is provided with a bearing recess 68 and an intermediate bearing recess 69 forming a shaft inserting space together with respective grooves 64 and 65.
